Workers Compensation

Full-time workers spend about one third of a week working and travelling to and from. Work takes up considerable time, effort and resources and has many powerful benefits but it is associated with stresses that may cause harm to workers such as physical injury and psychological difficulties.

In fact, a number of reports indicate that psychological ill-health is much more common than physical injury, requiring longer recovery times. Workers are however less likely to present for psychological difficulties due to the stigma associated with both with mental health and Workers Compensation claims. Management also often fail to realize the costs of such illness to organisations/business.

We believe it is important to deal with psychological issues relating to work which can affect every working person either directly or indirectly due to injury, bullying, and things like job control, demands, work-load and job security. This can lead to Workers Compensation claims for illnesses such as depression, anxiety and PTSD developed because of work conditions.

As such our goal is to assist our clients to deal with these disorders/situations arising from the work-place using evidence based therapies to enhance their well-being, potential and return to employment.
